Grilled Apples over Vanilla Ice Cream
Ingredients 1 Tbsp. brown sugar 1 Tbsp. butter, melted 1/2 Tbsp.
flour ¼ tsp. cinnamon Pinch of nutmeg ¼ cup toasted walnuts 2 Tbsp.
cup raisins 1 large red apple, cut into 8 wedges 4- 6”x6” Fire &
Flavor Cedar Papers, soaked or 2 – 6”x10” Fire & Flavor Cedar Papers,
soaked Honey for drizzling
Vanilla Ice Cream
Procedure Combine sugar, butter,
flour and spices in a small bowl and then toss with walnuts and raisins. Place 2
apple wedges into the center of each 6” paper or 4 wedges onto 10” papers. Top
apples equally with the raisin and nut mixture, fold edges of paper in towards
each other, and secure papers with cotton string. Heat grill temperature to
400°F, place paper packages directly on grill and close lid. Grill for 10-12
minutes, or until apples are tender; serve with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle
of honey.
