Rogue River Blue From the verdant pastures of Central Point, Oregon, comes the fantastic Rogue River Creamery Cheeses. Their Blue is unique in flavor and process; handmade exclusively during the autumnal equinox or winter solstice, it’s aged in specially built caves and ripened by naturally occurring Rogue River Valley molds. Furthermore, after the cheese matures it is wrapped in Syrah and Merlot leaves steeped in pear brandy. Now that’s an artisan cheese!
| Questions about our cheese department? Contact cheesy boy Glen for guidance.
It’s true. You can travel around the world just by visiting our cheese department. Glen, our cheese department manager, constantly seeks out new and distinctive cheeses to offer and he’ll search the corners of the globe to find it. Our specialty cheese selection is rumored to be one of the finest in the state. From the great cheese-making countries like France and Great Britain, to lesser-known cheese-making locales like Spain and Australia, our enormous selection will amaze you.
Our domestic selection includes the finest cheese made in the United States, like Maytag Blue from Iowa, Cowgirl Creamery cheeses from Point Reyes, California, and Oregonzola from the Rogue Creamery in Central Point, Oregon.
While lots of time goes into seeking out the rarest and the finest, we carry all the classics, too. And tucked in alongside the cheese, Glen also offers tasty tidbits, like Marcona Almonds, Spanish fig cakes, and European-style pâtés.
Stop by and talk with Glen. He loves to share his passion for good cheese, and he’ll even share a sample with you. He changes the selection often, so there’s always something new to discover. Watch for his cheese and wine pairing events, too!
Glen, "Cheesy Boy" "I get a real kick out of watching people’s faces after I’ve given them a sample of something they’ve never tried. "
